Justin Duerr

Justin Duerr is a Pennsylvania-born self-taught artist (drawing and musical) who happened to have a collection on display at the Philadelphia Magic Garden.  Here are some photos of his work. If you look close, you can see the intricate line work.  Most of his works include poems.

This is a part of a drawing and I believe the title is ‘Monolithic Cosmocrotor’.  It is stunning. I enhanced the colors with a bit of HDR processing, which brought it back to the vibrance your eye would see.

Here’s one called ‘Story Scroll, Panel 22: Here the Plot Unravels’

Wow!!! Reminds me of “The Scream” painting by Edvard Munch combined with Picasso!!! And a little bit of Mexico’s Day of the Dead thrown in for good measure! Interesting art work…I’ll bet it’s amazing in person.

I give credit to the artist and the photographer for such a magical colourful painting and photograph.

They are pretty impressive, makes me wonder if the first one with the faces are trying to tell you something?
