hawk falls

Last week, we had unusually warm weather for October, so I took a motorcycle ride to the Pocono mountains. When I ‘plan’ one of these trips, I try to pick one destination with some potential photographic potential. I decided Hawk Falls would be the place. It’s only about 0.5 miles from the road, an eask walk.

Here’s the path leading to the falls. The tree colors were nice, but not crazy good, we had a shortage of rain in September, so the colors are a bit muted.

Here’s a wide angle of the falls. They are not big, maybe 25′ (8M) tall.  After visiting Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride, CO earlier this year, I knew nothing nearby could compare.

Just the falls with a slow shutter

I captured the moving leaves with a slow shutter (1.6 seconds).

The fall color is beautiful, but that last shot of the slowly moving water is awesome. You did a wonderful job with it.

I love the leaf swirl. We really don’t have much in the way of falls around here.

What beautiful Autumn colours and a nice looking walk! Nice slow shutter shots of the waterfall too. It’s been so long since I photographed waterfalls.
