happy place

I finally repainted and spruced up my home office, here’s a shot of my new workspace. I’m very happy with the results. The desk was designed and built by my son, it’s made of oak and walnut.

Much to my wife’s chagrin, I resurrected some of my old stereo equipment, including my Dynaco tube amplifier. I bought it when I was in college for $50. It’s probably the best $50 I have ever spent as it’s worth considerably more today. The best part is it still work, although it needs some new tubes.  It sounds great.

I love the warm glow of the tubes, so I took a few shots, posted below.  As an electrical engineer, I expecially appreciate the old circuitry.

Love the new workspace! And the cool tubes! We used my hubby’s old 1970’s Pioneer receiver until we moved back down to SoCal from the mountains. Still can’t figure out the new one!!! The old one was so much easier!

Nice job on the work space and great photos of the tubes.
What haven’t you remodeled and/or updated in your house?
