glass sticks

I photographed this at the Corning Museum of Glass and it was created by Jun Kaneko, titled ‘glass sticks’.  I was fascinated by the repetitive pattern.  It consists of 102 glass bars, each bar has 9 layers of glass, the bottom one is colored red.

Here’s a photo that includes my wife to give you a sense of scale.  It was pretty tall.
