February 15th was unusually cold for the Philadelphia area. Add a brisk wind with wind chills below zero all day and there was no joy in going outside. I was uninspired to take any photos indoor, until I saw a ‘blob’ on the exterior door in the laundry room. Here’s a photo of the setup, 100mm macro stacked with 65mm of extension tubes, a favorite setup of mine. A contribution to I heart macro #92.
Here’s a photo of the formation with no extension.
I added the extension tubes, which is magnifying the formation by about 1.6x. It looks like the little piece on the right is falling away.
This is my favorite.
