cathedral of learning

One stop on a tour of the University of Pittsburgh is the Cathedral of Learning.  It is a stunning work of art, inside and out.  This is my favorite shot and my contribution to The Weekend in Black and White 3-July-2015.  Monochrome and HDR processing done in HDR EFEX Pro.  I could spend days inside this building, let alone many of the other cool building on the campus.  You can see a closer view of the dual doorways in the lower left of this photo here.

You have got the Gothic atmosphere, all right! HDR Efex pro can give some impressive results can give some impressive results , as you show here. I use it myself (or Silver FX) for complex photos, but prefer Lightroom for the “simple cases” of making just monochromes.

In subjects like this, the most difficult thing is to avoid getting people in the photo in the first place 🙂
