I took this at the height of the October ‘blizzard’ while driving through Peace Valley Park. My eye was drawn to the tree that has snow on one side and nothing on the other. I went for the high contract monochrome conversion in Silver EFEX Pro. My contribution for The Weekend in Black and White, 11-November-11 and UE’s ‘White‘ Weekend Challenge. Clicking on the image will render a sharper version.
Nicely done, Wayne. I like the amount of space you have given the tree top and bottom.

you are just a posting fool today!
Great photo, there’s always a possibility to capture beauty! Well done!
God bless you!

Oh! This is an amazing shot!!!
And I see a heart – created by the two lowest branches curving up towards the trunk!!! Cool!!!
That’s a beautiful capture. The tree seems to almost have arms that reach out. David/
Wonderful shot, but it looks very cold..;D Have a nice weekend..
Indeed, the clicked version is exceptional. Very nice image composition and the tones are wonderful. Thank you. kareninkenai
I’d like to frame this one.
Fantastic, Wayne. Beautiful image!
Lovely! Certainly deserves framing.
Wow, so desolate looking, I like it! Incredible snow right now, huh?!
Really superb, Woody!
Hope your camera didn’t get snowed on! Good looking image.
Ahhh! Another spot with snow!!! We also had early October snow!!! I like this shot…I love trees with snow on them and this one is nice and gnarly!!!
Nice shot Wayne. We do love our trees. If this were my photo I’d try a square crop to eliminate much of the sky.
Beautiful…
Fantastic image! I wish I was there just to witness the scene!
