Not just the nail Wayne, the tones and textures are marvelous. I really like the leaves, they enhance the image. You are having fun.
Thanks for your comments on my Summer afternoon post. I took two pictures of the couple. The first was much closer. That’s the one that’s merely OK that probably won’t see the light of day. After taking that first shot I walked away, then on the spur of the moment decided to turn around and shot the last frame. I guess my instincts kicked in because I didn’t crop at all. The composition was done in my viewfinder. Gotta let your right brain take over. I tell my logical self to shut up and let me take pictures for crying out loud. LOL
I think you and I must have a bit of the same genetics….I am always spying items like the nail. You keep milking it because each shot is great. Your work is always such a treat for my old eyes. It is not going to be too much longer before my “bridge to somewhere” is going to have the old mails popping out like this one. I dread having to replace the thing…too many $$$ at this point in our lives. When it finally bites the dust maybe we will just have to start fording the creek! genie
just beautiful in its rustic simplicity.
A lovely composition of textures and lines.
I like how well the grain of the wood shows up and also details like the leaf and nail.
Stunning great texture in the photo.

when we are intrigued by a subject, there are never enough ways to photograph it! Love the texture!
I love this shot, Wayne. The wood grain, leaves, and nail add up to a fantastic image.
That is a great photo – I guess you can “milk” that how many ways your imagination is going??
Thanks for sharing
