My company’s New Year holiday was 3-Jan, which was a pleasant surprise. After taking care of ‘stuff’ in the morning and early afternoon, I headed to Doylestown, the ‘county seat’ and a trendy, funky town with lots of little shops and cool alleys. It’s also very close to my home.
I was walking through a parking area and came across this little building around the rear of Puck’s. If you check out the weather vane, you’ll see the guy holding up “Puck”. I thought the shadow lines were pretty cool, emphasized by the monochrome conversion.
Submitted for Shadow Shot Sunday #138.
I do like the shadows. And from the grey tone of the sky it looks like it was a nice day!
The shadows are neat, the curved lines in the roof totally different than the resultant shadows within.
Years ago, on a family vacation to Lancaster, we got off the freeway US 30 and took the (old route 30?) through Doylestown looking for food. I agree, the main street there had a real eclectic look about it. Cool shadow!
That actually looks like Puck holding the banner! That’s cool.
Such gorgeous shot.
My Shadows, happy weekend!
Terrific shadow shot as always, Woody! I love how Puck seems to be ruling the skies! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Enjoy!

Neat photo! I have a collection of wind vane photos and I believe I have NEVER seen one like this.
Unusual weather vane. I like it.
Those shadows are very cool and it’s awesome in monochrome! Just goes to show it always pays to look up! Enjoy the rest of your weekend
Good eye!
I was wondering how many people would figure out the reflection.
such interesting and surprising shadow shapes!
So cool. And also cool that your employer had a New Years party!
Oh that’s neat! I love weather vanes and the like. This one is unique!
