The signage struck me funny.
This is the front of the Roberts Block building in Glenside, PA. It’s a cool old building, built ~1916. Believe it or not, it’s in better shape now than some shots I saw of it from 2 years ago.
This shot is reminiscent of an east coast version of some of T. Becque photos.
Submitted for Shadow Shot Sunday #131
Excellent, vivid b&w if that makes sense. I could do with some help too and am getting it. I’m waiting for a friend to arrive to start the Christmas cooking. Shopping will be tomorrow.
I try to stick to the same rule as you: no Xmas shopping in December unless I know exactly what I want and where to go!
Make that baking instead of cooking, lol!
Great shot! Love the conflicting messages.
Awesome shot and perfect choice for the b&w in this picture!

Terrific capture, Woody! And I do love the conflicting messages! Great one for the day! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Enjoy!

The look of the past is all over. Alas, the building, built when buildings were meant to last is not in use. But has lasted so long. I hope the plywood doors may still open…
Did you ask what kind of work they were offering???
just needs an “out to lunch” sign to be complete. nice shot woody.
Nice shot!

This, I believe, is what we call a catch 22.
That’s a super shot! What a cool find!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
You got a chuckle out of me right away! A fun shot, yet kinda sad shot.
mmmm Do I, don’t I????
Makes one wonder what they are thinking when they write this up (or not clearly!)
Makes for a good pic though! Love it.
