brick shadow

I was roaming around the Lansdale Train Station and came across a fenced off area that contains transformers to produce electric power for the trains.  I captured this brick corner post and applied a Red HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) filter, which left the bricks red and converted everything else to monochrome.  I also boosted the black fill a bit.

I have been dying to post this shot ever since I took it because I think it’s really cool.   I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.  My submission for Shadow Shot Sunday #122.

  8. Love the sharp shadows of the wire fence, so crisp against the red bricks.

Nice edit. I really didn’t know what made me so drawn to the brick until I read the edit. It is very effective here.
